IMPORTANT NEWS AND INFORMATION

 

   

  • SUMMER ACTIVITIES GUIDE - The 2008 Richmond Recreation Department's Summer Activities Guide is now avialable online, please CLICK HERERegistration for City of Richmond residents begins Monday, May 19, 2008, and registration for non-city residents begins Tuesday, April 20, 2008.  All registrations are taken at the Richmond Community Center located at Beebe Street Memorial Park, doors open at 8:00 a.m.   For more information please call the Recreation Department at (586) 727-3064, or email the Recreation Department.     

  • GLEASON STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - The Gleason Street Improvement Project began in late April with Teltow Contracting starting the installation of the new water main on Forest.  The contractor has finished the water main on Forest and is installing the main on Gleason.  SEMCO Energy replaced the gas main and service lines on Gleason Street.  After Teltow completes the water main, work will begin on the roadway improvements.  Gleason Street residents are reminded to have their vehicles out of the road right of way by 7:00 a.m. weekdays.  The entire project should be completed by June 30th.

  • SOUTH FOREST STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - Big Q, the restoration subcontractor for Pamar, has been on South Forest to remove the matting and perform any needed touch up restorations work.

  • SECRETARY OF STATE OFFICE LOCATIONS - The Michigan Secretary of State has closed their Richmond office.  For a list of local Secretary of State offices and hours please CLICK HERE

  • 2008 SPRING/SUMMER CITY NEWSLETTER - The 2008 Spring/Summer City of Richmond Newsletter is available online.  The newsletters will be coming out quarterly from this point forward.  To view the newsletter please CLICK HERE

  • RICHMOND TV - CHANNEL 12 PROGRAM GUIDE - Richmond TV programs can be seen on Comcast Cable Channel 12 and 900.  These programs are not available on regular broadcast or satellite TV.  Currently the Richmond TV playback schedule is Fridays 7:00 p.m., Saturdays 7:00 p.m., and Sundays at 7:00 p.m.  The City Council Meeting from the previous week is played on the Monday time slot.  Check here each week for an updated playback schedule.

  • CEMETERY RECORDS ONLINE!  The City of Richmond is currently in the process of transferring all of its burial records for the City of Richmond Cemetery to its new computerized database.  To view, download, or print a partial listing of burials at the Richmond Cemetery please CLICK HERE.     Please keep in mind that the listing is a PARTIAL LISTING and is not at this time a complete record of all burials.  The Office of the City Clerk is continuing their efforts to input all of the past cemetery records.  We will update the listing periodically as work on the computer database progresses.

  • EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS WORKBOOK AVAILABLE - Copies of the Macomb County Emergency Preparedness Workbook and Guidelines are available at City Hall.   The workbook contains useful information on how to make sure your family is prepared for any type of emergency.  Pick up your copy today at City Hall or e-mail the City of Richmond to request your copy!

  • NATIONAL TERROR ALERT STATUS - The State of Michigan’s Emergency Management Division recommends going to the Red Cross website www.redcross.org to see a set of guidelines for each threat level for individuals, families, and businesses.   The State’s Emergency Management Division also has information on their website www.mspemd.org for a family preparedness guide.
