IMPORTANT NEWS AND INFORMATION

   

  • SUMMER RECREATION GUIDE - The 2013 Summer Recreation Guide is now available online.  For a copy of the guide, please CLICK HERE.   City of Richmond Resident registration begins on Monday, May 20th at 8:30 a.m. at the Richmond Community Center, 36164 Festival Drive.  Non-Resident  registration begins on Tuesday, May 21st at 8:30 a.m. at the Richmond Community Center, 36164 Festival Drive.

  • EVIP EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION - PUBLIC ACT 152 OPTION - Under the State's Economic Vitality Incentive Program (EVIP), all cities are required to comply with an employee benefit component of EVIP.  The "Public Act 152 Option" allows Cities to be compliant with this part of EVIP as long as they are compliant with Public Act 152 of 2011.  The City of Richmond has chosen to exercise this option.  To view the City of Richmond Resolution 2012-18 please CLICK HERE (This resolution brings the City into compliance with Public Act 152.)  To view the minutes from the Council meeting please CLICK HERE.

  • COOPERATION, COLLABORATION AND CONSOLIDATION PLAN 2013 - Under the State's Economic Vitality Incentive Program, all cities are required to make public a Consolidation Plan.  The plan includes ongoing areas of cooperation, updates on areas of cooperation listed in last year's EVIP plan and new consolidations for 2013.  To view the Consolidation Plan please CLICK HERE.

  • 2012 CITIZEN'S GUIDE AND PERFORMANCE DASHBOARD - Under the State's Economic Vitality Incentive Program, all cities are required to make public a Citizen's Guide and Performance Dashboard.  To view the City of Richmond's Citizen's Guide, Projected Budget and Debt Obligations please CLICK HERE (this will download an Excel spreadsheet).   • CITY COUNCIL PACKET- The City Council Packet is available for review the Friday and Monday prior to the City Council meeting.  The public can view the packet at the counter in City Hall during office hours.  Those wishing to have a copy made can do so at a cost of 30 cents per two sided page.

  • CURBSIDE RECYCLING - Residents who are on the City of Richmond's residential trash collection contract have curbside recycling.  Waste Management will provide each residential unit one recycling bin (available at City Hall).  For a list of acceptable materials, please CLICK HERE.

  • RICHMOND TV - CHANNEL 12 PROGRAM GUIDE - Richmond TV programs can be seen on Comcast Cable Channel 12 and 900.  These programs are not available on regular broadcast or satellite TV.  Currently the Richmond TV playback schedule is Fridays at 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Saturdays 5:00 p.m., and Sundays at 7:00 p.m.  The City Council Meeting from the previous week is played the next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  RichmondTV programs are also available on the web at www.richmondtv.org.   

  • IF YOU EXPERIENCE A SEWER BACKUP...If you should experience a public sewer backup into your home, you have certain rights and responsibilities under Michigan law.  Please CLICK HERE for information on what to do if you have a sewer backup.

  • CEMETERY RECORDS ONLINE!  The City of Richmond is currently in the process of transferring all of its burial records for the City of Richmond Cemetery to its new computerized database.  To view, download, or print a partial listing of burials at the Richmond Cemetery please CLICK HERE.     Please keep in mind that the listing is a PARTIAL LISTING and is not at this time a complete record of all burials.  The Office of the City Clerk is continuing their efforts to input all of the past cemetery records.  We will update the listing periodically as work on the computer database progresses.
