Public Works The Department of Public Works is managed by the Public Services Director, who is
appointed by the City Manager. The DPW facility is located at 69129 Beebe Street,
Richmond, MI 48062-0457, and is responsible for the following public services:
Street System
- Surface maintenance
- Sweeping
- Snow & ice control
- Drainage
- Signage
Cemetery Operations
- Burials
- Foundations
- Grounds maintenance
Sewer System
Water System
- Water Distribution System
- Well operation & maintenance
- Water leak repairs
- Hydrant maintenance & flushing
- Meter reading, installation & repairs
- Water connection inspections
- Utility locating
- Buildings & grounds maintenance
Parks & Recreation
- Structures & grounds maintenance
- Playground equipment maintenance
- Prepare swimming pool for season opening
- Swimming pool filter room operation & maintenance
The Public Works Department also performs grounds
maintenance at the Library and City Hall, as well as, the many handy-man odd job that
always comes up.

employees and a part-time secretary:

- Cemetery Sexton
- 6 Utility Servicemen
During the summer, 3 temporary employees are added to
assist with grounds maintenance activities.
