The Department of Public Works (DPW) will begin hydrant flushing this Sunday, April 22, 2018 through Friday, April 27, 2018. They begin flushing hydrants at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday. Periodic flushing is necessary to remove debris and iron buildup from the water mains. This will agitate the water system and may discolor the water. Although it does not cause a health hazard, residents are cautioned to check the water before doing laundry. Flushing is completed over night when water usage is low.
