On July 17th, 2024, Richmond's historic Town Clock celebrated its 100th year of keeping time for the residents of Richmond. Located on the corner of Park and Main Streets, it was donated by former resident and successful Detroit merchant, Gilbert "Square Deal" Miller.
The clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company from Chicago, and weighs over 2 tons. It was the largest clock of its kind in Michigan at the time of its installation. The clock officially started keeping time at 8:48 p.m. on July 17th, 1924.
